Basically, all I’m wanting to do here is get to making a Diamond Dog OC that won’t look like some random furry posted on DB, as I fear that my previously drawn dogs are. The purpose of these studies are to isolate key features of the dogs and try to play/practice with them in hopes of getting them clear in mind when going for a final character design.

Unfortunately,facade though I was talking about his work,not the source of the particular comment which inspired the sketch and that I have a problem with sexualized characters/designs.
 
I did not say that he does that(the oc thing),nor that I have a problem with sexualization,just said that ,from what I saw so far,most of the pictures with “canine oc/semi dds” are porn…or just generic sexy woman design.
 
Back there I just asked a tag for the specific situation which happens most with DDs from my expirience.
 
As for “getting riled up”,which was 2/3 replies per person involved,and the wall of text that I gave birth to:boredom,pure and simple.  
I don’t/didn’t have much to do so might as well waste some time :3

You lookin’ to start shit, friend? I’m saying that that specific character is meant to have big hips, thighs, legs, etc. And some people find that sexy. In the end, everything is sexualized in and of itself, because nothing is exempt from being sexualized in the first place. It’s called Rule 34. If it exists, people WILL find a way to sexualize it.
 
As for the “random canine/wolf oc” bit, that’s what this study is meant to “cast out.” I’m not deliberately trying to make some random “furry” and cast him/her off as a Diamond Dog. At all.

I did not whine for it not being up to MY standart of DD,just that the name seemed more of an excuse to post a random canine/wolf OC.  
More often than not sexualized ones too.  
That’s why I said there should be a tag for these things.
 
As for the study,the large underjaw seems more like dependant on then breed of DD.

One thing World of Warcraft does for the monstrous races is emphasize the physical characteristics in males and de-emphasize them in females. They’re still present, just subdued.

Suffice to say that Tim himself lacks the exaggerated underbite, as do a few of the extras (including one that looked like it might be a female Dog).
 
That said, those goofy jawlines DO seem to be a uniform characteristic of all Diamond Dog soldiers…

Some of the Diamond Dogs in the comics don’t have absurd underbite, so I was just working off of that.

Then most of Derpibooru will bitch and complain about how “that isn’t a Diamond Dog. Follow MY standards, or I’ll hate you forever.”

Some of them have been depicted without lantern jaws, so you could probably do away with that one.
 
The two most distinct traits of a Diamond Dog are the long arms and the club tail. Most everything else is generally an aftertouch.

Like muzzles and colors and some such vary. Ears too. Yes, their bodies are gorilla like, so I agree with you there as well. I will be doing more studies on the Diamond Dogs focusing on other bts, like legs only, arms/hands only, torsos, etc. I’m trying to gain a better knowledge of a “show accurate” dog, since in the past, I would draw my dog an anthro, and apparently, that isn’t taken too kindly.

They do tend to be based on IRL dog breeds, so their features vary. Agreed on the big arms, big jaws, spiked tails. Their body shape is pretty gorilla-like with short hind legs and oversized forelegs. When walking they tend to stay on 2 legs but when running switch to all fours.
