R: But we weren’t argui-
L: YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID!!!
Yeah, that’s the important thing.

Tagged grimdark… But really not. I mean, she’s fine, so it’s not grim… :q

Of course the projectile itself would cause damage, possibly a few broken bones, but my point remains.
No one would blow up, as it still takes time for the rocket to arm. And it requires a certain velocity which cannot be obtained without about a second to 3 seconds of air-time.
Depends on the impulse and burn time of the solid rocket motor that propels it, and on the masses of the projectile and of the rocket propellant. Those criteria will determine its velocity and momentum at impact, which will determine how much damage it does to our little pony. Oh, and where it hits is pretty important, too (a knock that could break a shoulder, could fracture a skull or break a spine). And if you want to take air resistance into consideration, we’ll also need the frontal area and drag coefficient of the projectile.
But if you’re getting to a velocity where air resistance is a major consideration over the tiny timeframe of the flight time, then it’s probably too late for our little pony :q
Scroll down, I explained how that would do nothing but bruise Rarity. The way an RPG works is that it arms itself some time after launch, when it reaches a certain velocity. At that range, you may as well throw a stone with a rocket propulsion system attached.

It’s some sort of RPG, though.
Shit, I last heard that line when I was like. Seven.
And keep in mind, its not 0-100 in 0.00 seconds. It takes time for it to accelerate to an arming velocity. Not very long, but anywhere between 5 and 15 meters.
A RPG (Rocket propelled grenade) requires a certain velocity for it to arm. Anything shorter than that, and you are just firing a rocket propelled rock.
do they disable them self if they hit something before that (or simply don’t fly) ?
This guy would beg to differ.
A bomb’s a bad choice for close range combat.</Deus Ex>
And a fractured skull with severe concussions, likely death. It’s a solid, heavy metal object hitting you in the head at over 100 m/s.

All I see is Luna being absolutely livid over the discovery of her favorite dress having some unneeded alterations on it.
Still would be one hell of a punch, wouldn’t it?
Images of Lacunae spring to mind.
