She’s a Justice on the Supreme Court, so yeah, fairly important to the Judicial Branch. She got where she is the old fashioned way, by being a legit badass who worked like hell for everything she ever got in life; she made it into Princeton University on a full scholarship at a time when they were categorically not applying any sort of affirmative action to their admissions or faculty/staff hiring, and was in fact instrumental in forcing them to follow the law on such matters.
Wait, I thought Sotomayor was involved in politics. Did I miss something? Isn’t she part of the federal judicial system?
A-Whine
Her pathological lack of basic mammalian empathy was her biggest disability, but that seems to be the only disability rights issue her supporters really care about; spending her entire adult life screeching about all those dirty other people and their filthy peasant handouts and then suckling at the sweet, sweet teat of entitlement programs once she needed help is the primary reason I was mocking her in regards to your attempt to portray her as “successful” or “in any way whatsoever a person to be admired or regarded as having human morality of any sort”.
still accomplished more than left leaning women
Barbara Jordan will come out her grave at you, son.
@Darth Sonic
The right wingnuts kneejerkishly hate President Black Man more than they kneejerkishly hate That Damn Hillary, but they’ve been jerknee hating her for longer, so it’s kind of a tossup as to which is wearing out their twitch tendons faster. It’s entirely possible to criticize President Obama without looking like a nutter, but tone and context are key; it’s a lot easier, for example, to harry him for not being much of a Democrat than to complain about him refusing to embrace pet Republican issues. Watch some of the Daily Show segments where they rip into the Obama Administration, they do a very good job of ruthlessly dismantling the various legitimately bullshit aspects of his presidency without sounding the least bit biased against him or the political party he ostensibly leads, and it carries more weight because they clearly are biased against the Republicans. Which isn’t hard to do, the Republican Party has been steadily growing more and more 19th Century regressive for the last thirty five years or so.
Elizabeth Warren, Sonia Sotomayor, Johanna Siguroardottir, Mary McAleese, Terry O’Neill immediately come to mind.
All I saw was you hating on Rand who had disabilities.
But it is precisely my point: still accomplished more than left leaning women.
*The Party Who Cried Commie-Wolf.
But do their knees jerk as much as any mention of Obama make them jerk?
I honestly think the sheer amount of butthurt the right has over the Obama administration has been Obama’s greatest defence reputation-wise. ANY criticism of his presidency, no matter how legitimate (and there is plenty of legitimate criticism…) will be automatically dismissed as right-wing hyperbole.
Obama could order an airstrike performed on every orphanage in the Middle-East, and everyone would be tripping over themselves to point out how the story MUST be a Republican fabrication. Because it wouldn’t been the first time they did so.
The Part Who Cried Commie-Wolf.
I accept your unconditional surrender.

Isn’t it funny the way you apparently tried to climb up on some kind of moral high ground there and failed spectacularly? A-Whine Rand was a sociopathic crybaby who died with her hand out, taking money from Social Security and Medicare, and Iron Maggie is only slightly less hated these days than Voldemort, and was only slightly less cartoonishly villainous.
If you honestly think that the right wing’s knees don’t jerk every time Hilary Clinton is mentioned in literally any context, you clearly did not even read your own post.
Fair enough. No hard feelings.
Well, irregardless of what the subtext may be, the foretext isn’t wrong.
… Sorry for calling you a sleazy asshole.
Kneejerkingly implies what I thought it implied.
And besides, he’s said similar things before.
Maybe I am wrong but I doubt it
Jesus and Celestia that wasn’t Tex’s point at all, you sleazy asshole.
He said Clinton was the Rights most hated woman, not that the right hates all women. If the Conservative parties most hated woman is making a reasonable dash for the Oval Office, then women in politics is no longer a political position, just a fact.
>right wing
>hates women
Isnt it funny how the most successful women are right wing? Regardless of how you may feel about them personally but Meg Whitman, Ayn Rand and Thatcher accomplished more than Clinton ever will.
The only successful left wing women are only successful in politics and because they politicize their gender.
Still a bit silly message wise given the source, though.
We’re still a long way from our elected representatives actually being representative of the electorate, but it was certainly a much more relevant catchphrase thirty years ago when the right wing’s most kneejerkingly hated woman in the world wasn’t the Secretary of Friggin’ State and on a path to make a credible run at the Oval Office.
That’s why this particular mouthpiece just confuses me. This is like saying I should own a dog and work at a lit professor. OK… sure. If your capable, go for it. Women in government, while not quite as common as their male counterparts, are by no means unheard of. This shit is like saying the moon is sorta airless.
As for Visitor, I get the impression he just saw another political mouthpiece and commented without even really reading the content.
Nah, bro, it’s the 21st Century now– “women should be allowed in the Legislative Branch” isn’t a “political view” any more.
Yeah, and then of course there’s the hypocritical bullshit on if the one parent works and the other stays home
Working father, Stay at home mother = Misogynist male, Oppressed woman
Stay at home father, working mother = Dead beat dad, over worked mother.
exactly. It’s not a weird concept that raising a family can be more rewarding for some than a job in HR.
I know this is a joke Mouthpiece, but most feminists don’t get that some don’t want or need a job because they have someone that does, and just because they don’t doesn’t mean they are being oppressed into that life style.
I remember ALL!
