The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

The difference is, some claw machines are winnable. I won a plush Skrat last time I played one, on the second try. I saw it was winnable, almost had it on the first try, saw the way it slipped out, and adjusted for it the second time.

I was back at the same machine last week and saw a plush seal I wanted. It wasn’t in a winnable position. I didn’t play. There have been other cases where an object wasn’t winnable in one move, but losing an object in the way could put the one I actually wanted in the open.

This is not a good example of the sunk costs fallacy. If she’s getting closer to winning, she should continue playing, because giving up will not get her money back, and a small future outlay will probably get her the toy. If she keeps repeating the same failing move, she should stop and just go buy one.
