In Japan, English words are often abbreviated because they use too many bloody letters (is what they feel.) As such, Smash Bros. becomes Su-Ma-Bu-Ra. Which leads me to my next paragraph:

LuminoZero confirmed for hardcore-est of hardcore casuals.
Oh I understand it perfectly.
I just don’t care.

just saying, each stage has a “final destination” form, so at least stage variety is given.
In my experienced I’ve seen the “for fun” guys actually be far more volatile about it than the competitive side. Which I suppose would be ironic.
For glory seems like some half assed option.
I dont expect competitive players to play on Final destination inspired stages only, there is more to it.
It’s pretty sad to see both Casual and Competitive players bashing eachother just because they both stand firm on how the game is suppose to be played.
Nope.
I intend to play both modes quite a bit. Free for all is fun and chaotic and true smash fun.
No items Final Destination is fun because it’s a different kind of game. You win or lose based solely on your and your opponent’s actions. Sure knowing how to use items effectively is a sign of skill and competitive players should and probably do have a pretty good grasp of that, but exploding barrels, bombs and things can appear at just the right time so that no one can react before they’ve knocked someone off already. When that happens, it no longer feels like an earned victory or defeat.
In all honesty they are completely different ways of playing and no one should say that the other isn’t worth it or that someone is stupid or wrong for wanting to play the other.
Players who are so “good” that they demanded Nintendo make an easier version of the game just for them. Because stage hazards are scary and hard!
I just hope the online connection doesn’t horribly lag like Brawl’s did.
It only records your win count. Weakling, weakling. >:3
Suddenly your game glitches and

Exactly. Items exist to tip the balance, to keep players moving, and to keep every match from being the same.
People also complain that the ‘slower’ speed of Brawl and this Smash makes the game more boring, since it is now a more defensive game, with people hiding in corners and basically playing keep away once they have an advantage.
To which I say: That is why items exist.
You can hide away, sure. But then you are letting your enemy grab the items that fall. They can heal, pelt you with bombs and shells, summon attacks that hit large areas (Pokemon, Assist Trophy’s) or any number of other things.
The items keeps camping from being an effective strategy. But when you turn the items off…
Well, we’ve seen what happens.

If I wanted to play a precisely balanced fighting game where victory is defined solely by skill, there are a dozen other games that are better suited. Why would you want to restrict 90% of the content in a game built around crazy random shit happening?
this has always been my line of thinking as well. So you can perform well in sterile, controlled environment, whoopdedoo.
For Fun includes all stages except Final Destination.
Adapting to changes in the battlefield is ever bit a skill as your comboing.
I think that is the main thing people forget. In REAL LIFE, being able to adapt to changes in your environment is an important skill.
In Smash, ‘professionals’ are scared of it.

Why do you think that we don’t have fun playing the way we do?
Seriously, why would I play a game if it wasn’t fun to me. Everyone have fun differently, and it’s you casual fags who keep complaining about good players having fun playing the game fair instead of letting luck decide your fate.
Look. You have a nice lobby where you can play against all your ‘srs bsns’ friends.
Leave us to play with people who just want to have fun. Nintendo did the right thing with this.
