Nah, all that could accomplish is making them afraid of Rarity.

Your mouth feels awful because it’s full of dry saliva from being open all night. If you’re a mouth breather for whatever reason, this is going to happen. Spiders won’t crawl in there because your breathing on it will disturb them if they even get that close and they’ll run away.
Spiders are pretty cowardly really.
…Still freak me out though and I’ll throw a crate at one if I see it.
haha, true! I have been hearing this and similar rumours for years, but I’ve never actually seen any real evidence.
