Yeah, having a character with not just one but two legendary pokemon was a sure fire way to have ash never finish in first place.

the dp wasn’t that bad. It had some big problems like waaaayyyy to much filler and the way they handeled ash losing the league

OK, at the end of the DP series he decided to stop travelling with ash and go to a school and become a doctor.
 
so yeah, now ash is the only original character left now.

And I guess the newer shows do have some merit but it just doesn’t feel the same to me anymore. I still love the franchise though.
 
I guess the biggest pet peeve for me is that I know that they couldn’t or wouldn’t bring back the original voice actors. I can understand that for Ash, as hes finally grown up a bit but changing Brock’s voice(and Brock is my favorite character) just bugs me.
 
Is Brock in the new series even? Or like Misty did he eventually return to Kanto?

@Yorec No he’s not really evil, but he has a rival who views him as evil after she was beaten by him when she was a child. She took the defeat personally, to the point that she has exaggerated her memories of him, which is where this pic is from.
 
@Impious I have said this before but I’ll say it to you now. I agree that the show has not been great at times, but the DP series of the anime was good. Mostly because of Dawn’s story throughout her journey through the Sinnoh region.

Pokemon as a show was only good for the first season, and even that’s shaky.
 
Pokemon will always be cool, but the anime is more of an enema.

I stopped considering Pokemon as an tv show since 2009

Still a better love story than cartuneslover.

So he’s evil now? I admit I stopped watching Pokemon a long time ago.
