If the animation is anywhere good, that would result in unnatural wing/mane/tail movements. One of the principals of (2D) animation is that motion gets exaggarated. Eg, when a character walks, their tails bounces in a certain way. If you reverse it, things usually start looking weird to the human eye.
Besides, I’m pretty sure RD is moving down fairly linear. So she’d end up going one direction, then suddenly going the other direction.
