The artist has been intentionally vague about whatever exactly is going on with Dashie. He/she says that we’ll get to see that eventually.
Actually, judging by the yellow eyes Rainbow gets by the second page or something, it makes sense: The blast from the window of Twilight’s house probably let Obsidian’s spirit out, who then entered Rainbow’s body, slowly possessing her.
That’s my take. Sound about right? Do I get a cookie? :3

No idea, but it’s possible. Especially if Silverlays “master” was doing both at the same time (Dashie and Twi) because that spell WAS interrupted.

I’m pretty sure she’s a copy. Just like Silverlay is a copy of Twilight, this pony is a copy of Dashie.

So this Rainbow Dash is just a twin of her, then?
In the backstory strip it said that the magic (including flight and cutie marks) can be taken to the point where no magic remains. Dashie isn’t dead, but she can’t fly right now :(
