I liked it. The juxtaposition of Granny Smith drawn reasonably well and Vinyl Scratch with so many mistakes serves to clue the video’s viewer in as to who is supposed to play the better parts of the “musical battle”, if you will.
 
The art style is minimalistic enough not to distract the viewer from the music, but functional enough to enhance his or her viewing experience. That the same artist associated a non-pony song to the unlikely musical battle between these two characters, and chose to make the humble cover art himself instead of commissioning someone else to do it is indicative of his belief in the creative potential that lies in every one of us.
