Yeah, that’s what I meant. Somebody on here told me they were sick of Derpy, ‘cause of that ep’, and her appearances in “Pinkie’s Pride.” I just found that odd, sense she barely appeared at all before then, and barely was in Season 3.
 
But I suppose they need to balance her appearances/cameos better.

Surly you meant Season 4 Episode 10. Or else I’ll be a very happy pony this Summer with lots of (well for me), new p0nez to watch this summer, as I’m currently just nearing the end of Season 4. So 6 whole Seasons in ~6 Months yeah I can do that!… Probably inside a month TBH.

I wouldn’t mind that either actually, as long as she still remains a background/bit character. People would probably complain about “pandering” if she got her own episode, or something. (Heck, some felt the “Rainbow Falls” overdid it with Derpy… Kinda odd after the first 10 Season 4 episodes being Derpless.)

If you mean negatively, not much really luckily. Though a certain SJW did say they were happy Derpy doesn’t talk anymore, and prefers her that way…

It’s probably the writers being very careful with her. They don’t want any more angry Tumblr people going nuts.
 
I still wish she had a voice and a new name. Not the most popular opinion, but that’s how I feel.

I’m thinking I may not have expressed myself clearly enough. I really enjoyed the appearances I listed earlier because they did show off some personality (specifically, personality that was consistent with her S2 appearances and her wink in MMC). It’s been in her half-dozen or so appearances since “Simple Ways” that have had her just filling in space like all the other background ponies.

Well, the chocolate fountain bit was a bit funny, and eccentric of her, I felt. But yeah, you might have a point on some of the other things.

I did find her clumsiness endearing, yes, and that’s pretty much gone too. But mainly what I was referring to was stuff like her nonchalant shrug in “Rainbow Falls” (takes disappointment in stride), her chocolate fountain scene in “Pinkie Pride” (enthusiasm/lack of inhibition), her apparent staring contest with Boneless in the same episode (general quirkiness), and her appearance at the start of “Simple Ways” (more quirkiness). Her past few appearances have had her acting like just any other background pony, and while it’s still nice to have her around regardless, I fear we may be losing the funny, eccentric nature of many of her S2 cameos.

Y’mean like her “clumbsyness?” (As seen in “Feeling Pinkie-keen,” “Luna Eclipsed,” and “The Last Round-up.”) I do kinda miss that actually.

I’m just wondering if anyone else is less upset over her lack of name and/or voice than over the fact that her appearances post-“Simple Ways” haven’t allowed her to show the faintest glimmer of any real personality.

Doesn’t surprise me… Regardless of all the pony-related Tumblrs, it feels like they’re very against us, and the show lately.  
I thought it was hilarious that one time one of those brony-hating-yet-MLP-loving Tumblr drew a ugly caricature of bronies, (fat, hair, ect. not even a “good/funny” one) and wrote “autism” on the shirt. (Ironically, it was one of those “sensitive/politically-correctness mongering” DWM folk, I think.)  
It backfired on them, and after getting some heat from other fellow P.C. tumblr users got mad. They apologized, and resubmitted with the word taken off.  
After all, you have to be more sensative when bashing us evil bronies. :P
 
I also find it funny alot of those brony-haters on Tumblr are practically bronies themselves, sense they watch the show, collect the toys, make fanart/fan-games/ect.

I think the tag is useful for images, like this one, that refer to how Hasbro’s skittish about using the name “Derpy” in the USA.

OP: The only ponies mentioned by name in the “introductions” (I’m guessing you’re referring to Rainbow Dash’s speech) are Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps, and they’re only mentioned because they’re Rainbow Dash’s teammates for the relay race. As for Derpy remaining silent, her speaking role in “The Last Roundup” was always intended to be a one-shot deal.
