I think the only character that /mlp/ consistently likes is Discord and MAYBE Twilight, after that you get neutral, >opinions and trolls trolling trolls. But yeah, they do hate Trixie. Or maybe it’s just a meme that whenever a trixie thread or fan appears the standard response is “seth go to bed pls”, and they DO hate that guy.

/mlp/ hates nearly everything

I wish Gilda had met her during the mid-point. I bet they would have become buds and torn up the town.  
also /mlp/ are allabout das Luna and also a little Lyra and Twilight. Whomever makes/results in the best memes, really. Pinkie is half&half though because she reeks of ‘insane summerfag chick’ to some of the board.

I would still like Tristan. Double standards don’t really matter to me. He would still be a douche but hey if you can’t like antagonist…

Idaknow, I’d like to get to know more of her character. I mean, if we met fluttershy during the mid-part of the Putting Your Hoof Down episode, would many people like her? Always guessed the attitude was a front for insecurities, and uses bullying tactics to try and pump up her courage.

whatshisface has done more to garner detractors than supporters, I’ve found.
 
Either way, I measure mostly by looking at the various boards and fics. /mlp/ hates her, ponychan doesn’t really like her bar a few people, and 75% of fics I’ve see with her, she’s either a really crappy villain, or just dies / is tortured; 20% are shipfics of varying quality and 5% have her as a normal character.
 
It’s hard to qualify popularity by art output, as (from what I’ve been told, I’m terrible at everything) arting is harder than writing, so you really need to care more about what you’re investing time into.
 
Also I’m biased to hell and back again.

Twixie was like, one of the three most popular pairings early and mid last year, I don’t think it could’ve been that popular if she didn’t have a sizable fan-base herself, of course alot of her popularity may or may not have come from what’s-his-face on EQD though…

For the most part i am indifferent to Trixie but my time on poni/derpi booru have definitely raised my liking of her

If that’s so, it’s one hell of a minority.

Most people barely tolerate or outright dislike Trixie, I think. Pretty sure those of us that like her are a somewhat minor yet vocal minority.

Nah man, I’d just make shipping and r34 art with him for near every character on the show. Her (or his) personality make me tremble.
