I can totally understand why someone wouldn’t like FiW. As long as your reason is not something like “A true MLP fan shouldn’t like it because it goes against everything FiM stands for” BS I dealt with in the past.
I don’t have a problem with dark comedy. It just has to actually be funny for me.
This is my humble opinion. I don’t want to come off as antagonistic here and start a back-and-forth that goes on for five pages.
Nothing wrong with some dark comedy. I love Friendship is Witchcraft. But then again I have a really dark sense of humor.
Comedy is subjective guys.
Sweetie Bot was kind of… cute. But if she had a young female squeaky robotic voice, instead of an annoying “defective-turret” voice. I’d be able to tolerate her more. The rest of the series was just too demented up to the point where it just fell apart for me. It just tried hard to live up to it’s name and failed at it.
What? And turn it into an actual abridged series?!

Yeah, the only thing I enjoyed about Friendship is Witchcraft is Sweetie Bot. All the other jokes and songs just fell flat for me.
I probably would’ve liked them better if they went through a more rigorous editing process where they trimmed out the “meh” and unfunny bits and got the video down to a good five-or-so minutes.
Oh that disturbing, offensive, and religious abridged parody? I stopped watching that long ago. There are just so many things wrong with it. AND YES, IT IS CREEPY.
