I think this because the apple on big mac’s flank was how he first used his talent for good, but his special talent isn’t cutting apples in half, it’s looking out for his younger siblings. So in my opinion, the apple is a symbol of the day he found his talent, and the cutie mark itself, is what the pale symbolizes. That he will always be there for his siblings.
