That is not a real distinction that proves Earth Pony magic. It is disingenuous to paint it as such. For instance:
 
If the Earth Pony tribe all had guitars and the narrator said they all wanted to listen to guitar music but only the Earth Ponies it doesn’t mean guitar playing is Earth Pony magic.
 
You are speculating that it is because of racial ability that only Earth Ponies could grow food when that is not stated.
 
If it is not stated then Earth Pony Magic = Fanon until it appears or is mentioned in the show. It has not been yet.

Both Earth Pony Magic and those two incidences are fanon only. Both have no basis in current canon.

Dude this is what I do for fun. In all honesty the series that catch my eye have always tended to be those with a big setting and a fair bit of world building, but plenty left unanswered. I love me some speculative fiction and I love to speculate about it.
 
I studied social sciences and such in college and I love history in general so of course I’m going to pick at a shows setting like a week old scab. It’s what I do.

Speculation. It is never stated that feud was long running, just that each tribe only cared about themselves, the food shortage was new. Their is also no evidence that they did explore the possibility.

Again Faust’s comments are non canon. The “evidence” given doesn’t state or imply a special power. It just hasn’t appeared yet in any material.
 
Not saying that Earth Pony Magic will never be canon, but right now, it is not a concept that appears in the show or supporting materials.
 
Hence non canon. I wouldn’t feel bad if it was canon but it isn’t, it is just popular fanon like Derpy’s daughter or that pony that is kinda Doctor Who’ish.

Although on a bit more thought it becomes clear it’s hardly a fair comparison anyway, keep in mind that due environmental conditions not even the Earth pony’s could make enough food. So of course the others would probably be doomed even if they tried.
