Well to be fair, I susspect that Celestia probably haden’t nurfed Twi, in the way Unicron had done to ‘Ol Megs. Besides a being a whole new charater. His underlying flaws continued. The TFtM, not Being a TV-Y (Not that, that actually existed back in the 80s), probably made distpatching Starscreem a lot simpler too. Since Hasbro wanted to start useing those flugly G2 Japanese Concept Car & Truck designs.
Outside of the sweped Wing Decpticon (Whos name I forgot). I didn’t really fell for that line. So they droped the Headmasters Anime, not the Toys mind. And the next thing I remember was Beast Wars, with its early 90s CGI, and ill fitting toys. Unlike the G1 stuff that actually looked like what it was supposed to. Guns, Cars Tape Decks etc…
He’s the kind of guy who’s always got your back… in his crosshairs.
Here is how I like to put how Starscream is.
You can trust him as far as he can throw you, witch he won’t do unless he thinks it will be your demise. :P
Well, Rainbow Dash embodies Loyalty, so there’s a pretty low threshold for how Starscreamy she could actually get.
Well, to her credit, RD didn’t try to coronate herself leader of the group while Twi was off being Ailicorned.
Well, Twilight already got her upgrade, so I think if she was going to incinerate Dash, she’d have done so by now.
Beast Machines had decent writing and animation, it just suffered from a few problems: The sudden and jarring personality changes between Beast Wars and Beast Machines, somehow thinking that “nature vs. Technology” would go over well in a Transformers series, and having Nightscream as part of the cast. The writing was pretty decent for the most part and you certainly can’t fault the animation.
As well as constantly negating any character development any character had during its run (like Demolisher).
The Transformers Wiki (one of the best Wikis in existence because of its sense of humor) page for Energon details all its problems (as well as any pages related to Energon).
What I hated was how Energon undid all the character development Starscream and Megatron had in Armada. Starscream was evil again and Megatron was back to being a standard evil dick.
Well, Car Robots was pretty dull from what I understand, but its Gag Dub Robots in Disguise was pretty fun (even if there was some blatant censorship, and not just the post-9/11 edits certain episodes had to go through). Agree with you on Beast Machines, though.
And yeah, Armada did have some great moments, which is more than I can say for its immediate follow-up, Energon. I don’t think anyone can really defend Energon.

I thought both of those series were a hell of a lot worse than Armada.
True, Armada is not the best. But when it was good, it shined. Starscream was a deep character. It is one of the only series of Transformers where Megatron actually cares about his men and isn’t just some card carrying villain. And it had the guts to often question whether or not the Autobots were often doing the right thing in regards to the minicons and the war. In a franchise where most of the time Autobots=Good, Decepticons=Bad, that was actually a pleasant surprise.
Is it as good as Animated or Beast Wars? No.
But every series has its weak points (The constant relic hunts from Prime come to mind).
Convoluted plot, production extremely rushed to the point where the animation was often unfinished when the dubbers got to it (and even then, the animation wasn’t all that great to begin with), bad dubbing overall, obnoxious human characters, Hot Shot… I could list many more reasons, but let’s just say that there’s a reason Armada and Energon are considered the two worst entries in the franchise (Energon is worse, though).

Also armada Starscream was pretty loyal too.
TF prime starscream is pretty loyal despite still being an asshole and occasionally attempting backstabbing, as is movie Scream.
I was thinking of having the ponies as the Cons, the adventure time guys the autobots Fin would be Optimus Jake would be bumblebee and i was thinki g of a kind if fusion with movieverse and G1 where Celestia woukd be the Fallen as he was Megatrons master/teacher as Celestia is Twilight’s teacher, and the fact that Megs was ressurected stronger e,g ROTF. As was twilight e,g Twilacorn.
