Some people feel obligated to, Others just don’t want to have to sort through hundreds of notifications, It’s not your place to tell him to deal with it, he can choose to have zero interaction with others and still want to make and share his art,

Well I hate to say it but if you draw extremely adorable art like this in a fandom like ours that values such traits, you WILL get deluged in cute comments. Either learn how to deal with it or stop drawing, as far as I’m concerned. Not that I don’t think for a second that OTL can’t do as he pleases. But he seems to be averse or even embarrassed by popularity when, if that was me, I would be drowning in delight at that sort of attention. It’s not like he has to read/reply to every comment.
