Oh, okay. Luna didn’t make her miss Rarity on purpose, but her making Sweetie sleep restlessly all night did.
I don’t think it was on purpose, just a side effect. Of course, this is straying into overthinking territory - it’s just as likely she overslept because she was tossing and turning half the night.
Why would she do that?
It gets better. Luna kept her asleep, and so Sweetie overslept the next morning, missing Rarity and barely making the train.
Hmmmm… interesting theory….
I think Luna’s shield here is keeping Sweetie in the dream, giving her time to do all the dreamwalker guidance. Otherwise, I think the bolt hitting her would’ve woken her up, much like a falling dream does.
