Well I’m introverted, and even I don’t identify with Shyshy.
I identify with Twiley instead, ’cos BOOKS
Well, duh.
my respects dude, the whole data colected and analysed is really amazing. I can´t wait to read the final paper.
The main reason the line gets ragged on the extremes is that the distribution of extroversion is a pretty tight normal one around 60, so the sample size calculating the means at the extremes is small, and outliers don’t get smoothed as much. You can actually see the distribution of extroversion in the introduction to the report, when we talk about removing bogus reponses.
That same linearity showed up with Twilight and Luna, and inversely with Pinkie and Rainbow. None of the other “Big 5” markers was significantly correlated with character identification.
‘Coder Brony’
Well that’s a poor index. But I really shouldn’t expect something like this to be overly scientific.
Im guessing it was a question in the poll, e.g.: “On a scale of 5, how extroverted do you think you are?”
Also, what scale was used to measure extroversion? I’m not familiar with one with those interval values.
I would suspect that this was the strongest correlation they could make between “favorite character” and “personality measurement”
This. Character at her best is still just a weird wallflower, bland and lifeless. Is there really any shock to be had at the types that worship her model?
hehe, “hater” was just an expression, everyone likes fluttershy, but only few people loves her.
“And from the department of linear correlations, take a look at this. The more extroverted you are, the less you identify with Fluttershy”
There’s no hate mentioned there.
Also I find it strange that this was mentioned separetely. Of course extrovert people identify less with introvert characters.
This graph might have some merit.
