I’ll be honest, with the flattened ears and all, it looked to me like anti-Shining is afraid, of anti-Cadance in particular.

I think I’ve seen people refer to the mirror universe Chrysalis as a flutter pony. I admit to knowing very little about flutter ponies, but if they are basically fairy like creatures, only bigger than Breezies…
Then I think it would be pretty awesome to use them as the starting point for Chrysalis’s back story.
And maybe restore Chrysalis back to a Flutter pony later on in the show?
The biggest thing that I’m wondering about with this mirror universe is, especially when characters like Celestia and Starswirl are jumping between worlds like a casual version of the TV show Sliders,
Is do both of these worlds depend on each being balanced against each other? With each world having strongly established right and wrong, good and evil?
If friendship can be a highly potent magic, and if you take each song and musical number in the show as being part of the canon, I think when ponies sing and the background ponies react to the singing and music, it almost seems just as magical as friendship.
Will converting a villain in the normal pony world to good have an affect on the other? If Twilight started out as a reclusive bookworm who did not understand friendship, suddenly turn in to a goody two shoes friendship princess, what happened to the, Twilight on the other side?
Or can you mess around with each other universe as much you want?
In the new Rainbow Rocks movie, if Twilight goes back over therw to mess around some more, are the ponies from the normal pony world messing around with different worlds? Or is it OK to interact and not cause any problems?

He’s a burly man who lives in a snowy climate who looks very authoritarian and tough.
from the looks of it shining is not anti shining though. he looks how shinign would if he was in a bad relationship.
if the writer of the comic knows what he is doing, there will be cause and effect here. what makes shining depressed n one, happy in the other, and makes cadence look like she is starving herself and emo to the point of being weaponized, and her being just cadence in the other as well.
what is most intersrting is, in fact, chrysalis. the other characters either have more muted colors, darkly makeup, and epressions. chrysalis is not only happier looking, but her body is all but whole. no holes, no tatters to her appearance. though at the same time her horn still shows she is……. well nto pony and is slightly sinister.
this seems to mean that once upon a time changelings were something else, something whole. what happened?
is damn obvious that the mirror sombra is a good guy, just look mirror chrysalis.
is the complete oppositive of prime chrysalis, so is safe to assume mirror sombra is the oppositive of prime sombra too.

in the comic we have celestia dealing with a magic dimension mirror, in fact the mirror where the eqg mirror was created from.
we know for a fact that there is a sombra on the other side. what we do not know is his nature. it is a universe where the regal sistes tok a darker path. so there is speculation that he is, in fact, not evil.
also there is evidence that celestia has a relationship with him. before you go a ragin, this is taking place during a rather dark period for celestia. when luna was growing distant from her, and that this chasm grew over decades and decades….. definitely makes her being lovestruck more sense. that and it may have had time to develop between them as, as said, decades.
