Hi. My name is Snails. I go to Ponyville Schoolhouse with my best friend Snips. I think you might have seen a picture of me once. I thought I would tell you what I learned.
Today I learned that if you’re dumb, broke, and ugly, the opposite sex don’t want anything to do with you. You wouldn’t know that since you’ve probably been smart, rich, and beautiful for a million years so I’m telling you that it’s the truth.
I am a nice guy, though. I’m polite. I’m respectful. I’m honest. And I always do the right thing like my mom tells me to do.
But what’s the point in a colt being so nice if niceness doesn’t help him get a filly? Where’s the reward in being nice? I hear fillies talk. They say “I’d love to meet a nice guy” but when I tell them “I’m nice”, all of a sudden, they don’t think that they’re so interested in nice guys.
There’s a saying I’ve heard more than once. “Nice guys finish last”. Well, who wants to finish last? I don’t. Neither does Snips. I have the same feelings as colts who are richer or better looking than me but my feelings don’t matter to girls. They could be nicer about telling me no but they’re not because they don’t have to be.
So I’m not going to be nice anymore. There’s nothing to be gained by it. Rumble is the biggest jerk in school and fillies are fighting each other to go to dances and dates with him. How is that fair?
I can’t get better looking so I am going to get smarter and with those smarts, I am going to get richer (fillies sure do like colts with money) but the one thing I will NOT be is nice. Every filly will want to go out with me so they can spend my bits and I will hurt their feelings like they hurt mine and I will not be sorry because they weren’t sorry when they hurt mine.
And when I’m done with them and they wonder where they went wrong, I’ll tell them exactly where they went wrong.
I’ll tell them they should have found themselves a nice guy.
And you can be damned sure that I am not going to finish last.

yeah I’m kinna torn as to which is worse. Silver and Diamond for being BRUTALLY honest or Twist for not telling him outright “I’m juth not interethted.” I was totally not prepared for Twist to be so repulsed. MY Silver Spoon would date Snails in a heart beat!
