And thus Twilight made a solemn vow never to pour back Spirytus Rektyfikowany and reminisce about great TV shows from the human world that have been cancelled.
Except Brimstone. Peter Horton is just too damned sexy as Zeke.

Wonderfully written, my friend!
Best review of the show I’ve ever seen. Preach it.
That’s kind of what makes it funny. At least half of it. You’ve got this completely asinine and childish show that’s immature to Spongebob levels, but it’s has this dark and downright sinister underbelly to it that’s all played up for comedy.
You’ve got Dan, this horribly horribly bitter and broken man who quite literally had such a horrible childhood that describing it sends a psychiatrist running from the office screaming incoherently. He’s so completely suspicious and vicious that he thinks everything is out to get him and will stop at nothing to get revenge on whatever he perceives has wronged him, no matter what damage it does to him or how badly it sets him back.
At the same time, a solid half the time whatever he thinks has wronged him genuinely has. The dentist, the barber, the salvation armed forces, the lemonade kids, Fake Dan, etc.
Now, despite all of this Dan is this total child at heart and the show is played up like a children’s show. He sleeps with a teddy bear, has a huge soft spot for animals, sincerely loves his friend (even though he mistreats the hell out of him) and genuinely does have redeeming qualities.
What makes it great is that it seriously is a kids show, but at the same time manages to be black comedy every step of the way. It’s probably the closest this current generation will get to an Animaniacs or Looney Toons style show.
Honestly, it’s like the Bizarro Friendship Is Magic. The total opposite. Everything that FIM is not. I think that’s the appeal of this crossover; the two are so completely opposite that meshing them just writes the comedy itself. They stick together like two magnets.
BAD TOUCH
STRANGER DANGER
I’ve never been a fan of Fluffle Puff in the slightest. In fact, I honestly can’t stand that character. I was really damned disappointed when she more or less took Dan Vs Fim over.
I really miss Dan vs. FiM. (And Dan vs. in general.)
Fluffle Puff is cute and all, but I get more than enough to reach my daily dose of cute ponies anyway.
Now that right there was Mixermike’s finest hour.
