An update: 3.15.2014
Dear Name,

Thank you so much for your generous donation of $$00.00 in support of Michael, his family, and the Michael Morones Foundation. We cannot begin to express how much the global outpouring of support for Michael means to us. It has been your generosity that has allowed our family to persevere through these hard times and continue to stay optimistic throughout Michael’s recovery process.

Currently, Michael is rehabilitating at Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. He is continually making progress, having become more responsive through his movement and the maintained balance of his head without support for a substantial amount of time. You can see footage of his progress on his YouTube channel.

Although Michael has shown great improvement, we still have a long way to go and we need your help. With Michael returning home, we will face many expenses related to his care and well-being, including the purchase of a van, new wheelchair, and wheelchair ramp. Your donation of just $$00.00 will go a long way in helping ensure that

Michael’s transition back home is a smooth one. All monies donated will be used for Michael’s long-term medical needs, for the well-being of the family, and to support the Foundation’s mission to educate communities on social development and the well-being of youth around the world.

Thank you again for all of your support and generosity. We couldn’t do this without the help of thousands of people like you. Please keep visiting the site and if you can, please consider giving to support Michael, his family, and the Foundation.

Sincerely,
The Morones-Suttle Family and
The Michael Morones Foundation

UPDATE March 10: What a way to rock our Monday!! This morning, Michael moved his left arm from above his head to his tummy twice and his right arm once. And it was an easily-controlled move!! This is the FIRST time he has done something like this!!!! He also balanced his head for 33 seconds!! All this is proof of the amazing teams at WakeMed Health & Hospitals and Levine Children’s Hospital as well as all the positive thoughts and prayers being made for Michael!!! #TeamMightyMichael

No. He’s alive. He’s slowly recovering, but they won’t know the extent of the damage much. Seeing the videos on youtube, it looked like he was blind. The way he interacted with the Ipad and his mother telling him what to do, it made it seem like he couldn’t see it.

I’m just glad he’s still here.
