Sure Dash is probably just as good or even more skilled than most of the Wonderbolts but she still has to go through the same training procedure and tests like everypony else. Anything else would be highly unprofessional. Just as in RL: You can be a skilled marksman, great athlete who won several gold medals and own a black belt but if you want to join the Navy Seals you still have to go through their training program.

It’s not just about being a badass; if that’s all there was to it, Lightning Douche would have made it in. You have to be trustworthy, able to work as part of team, able to give and take orders, etcetera. It don’t matter if you’re Michael friggin’ Jordan, if your tall talented ass don’t know how to pass, you ain’t gettin’ on the b-ball team.
 
It’s a longshot, but I reeeaaally hope they call back to the Wonderbolts’ assholery in Rainbow Falls and tell her that was a loyalty test or something, ’cuz yeesh that was pretty scumbaggy behavior otherwise.

We don’t need more dragged out Wonderbolt episodes that Dash shouldn’t need to be going through after having proved herself both unofficially saving the Wonderbolts’ butts a couple seasons ago and now officially Wonderbolts Academy.
 
What we NEED, is the Dash/Scootaloo sisterhood continuation that Meghan said was coming this season, but that I’m still not seeing anywhere as we reach 3/4ths through the season :/

Ohh come on. By now she had already proven that she is not only worthy of being a wonder bolt, but is actually better than some of its members. She even proved that she has the moral high ground by now.  
So why cheat? Or what do they mean by unconventional?  
Also, just a test for the reserve? For what is then the academy? Or is this supposed to be the final exam for the academy?
