30 episodes ago, a fierce ruler known as the Changeling Queen lead a great army on a campaign to conquer all of Equestria.
 
After a vicious campaign which lasted 6 long minutes, The Changeling Queen and her army were defeated and driven deep into desert, where one by one they slowly perished under the scorching sun, until only the great queen herself was left alive.
 
Near death, the Changeling Queen made a pact with the dark God IDW, that if IDW would spare her life and allow her to once more conquer her enemies, she would give them her soul.
