If you had somebody stateside pick one up and mail it to you, USPS postage is ~$18 to the UK and EU. Not exactly cheap, but it beats waiting a year and a half for the friggin’ Eurodistributors to get around to importing them and charging a foreleg and a hind leg for them anyway.

Let me put it this way; yes, they ship international, but shipping alone would cost five times more than the price of the figure.
 
So basically, y’all can decide on TSP getting his cute merch or the booru being up another month. Only one option is valid.

None of the paint beaded, but it did scrape off pretty easily once dry, as suspected. If you repaint these you’ll want to seal them afterward.

Apparently so. It’s not ideal though given the cost of shipping it outside the State, and HT don’t ship cheap.
 
Buying them through UK or EU sellers normally costs less and we don’t have to wait weeks for them to arrive. It just depends on what’s in stock, and when, really.

I might have to start keeping an eye out for these figures on eBay again. Or make an impulse purchase at a future convention and pay far more than it’s originally worth..
 
(might be worth it for Trixie though).

One thing I thought was cool was that rather than molding Twilight’s forelock as a solid block, her bangs have space behind them, and you can see the base of her horn. That’s a nice touch.

I just dabbed some different brands of liquid gaming miniature acrylics (Reaper, GW) and some cheap folk-art craft acrylic on a couple of parts, painted and unpainted, we’ll see how they hold up after drying.

Hmm, are the paint issues easily fixed with a little acrylic? I might buy these myself.

For a second i was like “THIS IS A FUCKING HOT TOPIC EXCLUSIVE!!!??? WHAT THE HELL!!!”
 
but then i noticed it is just the exclusive Pre-release….  
i was scared, i mean, it will be a horrible dick move to make a main character an exclusive character.

Gaps (other than Twilight’s neck) are very well hidden. In fact on Trixie the hat and cloak hide all the gaps between the individual pieces very well.
 
Mold lines are nearly nonexistent.
 
Paint apps are very good, other than the edge of Twilight’s hair (see inset). The other two I got didn’t have this problem (the paint just stops at the edge rather than continuing over the underside).
 
No glue overflow on any seams, like I’ve had on some of the earlier figs.
 
Trixie’s box is a bit larger, to fit her enormous ego (and hat). Wonder if Big Macintosh will be a larger scale and use this box? Hope so.
