Are you sure it was A Clockwork Orange? That film ended with Alex in the hospital, having been cured of the Ludovico treatment.
(The book ended differently, but still no salt pit.)

Anyone recall that bit at the end of A Clockwork Orange when characters were just staring at the sight in the salt pit? (or whatever it was.) They were just staring away letting that happen. It doesn’t matter if they thought it was right or wrong, Their actions were to just let it happen.
