That really is an easy fix, it’s pretty obvious they were just aired out of order from when they would have happened in-universe. There is, however, absolutely no way to reconcile “The Mane Six have a mature and well-developed friendship based on fully understanding each other, even if they squabble over who should close the window” and “The Mane Six being so close that they’re considered honorary Apple Family” as having come before “Twilight is clearly still fairly new to Ponyville and is feeling her way along trying to fit into the community, and has to have basic things like Winter Wrap Up explained to her”. There was an entire Season’s worth of character development and worldbuilding between WWU and the other episodes, and it shows in every interaction between the characters; the retconning required to shoehorn all of those things into one year would be so massive as to render the question moot, because at that point continuity of any kind would simply cease to have meaning.
There’s no answer. The timeline’s fucked.
The timeline’s been fucked since “Winter Wrap-Up” supposedly came before “Fall Weather Friends”. That’s an easy patch, but it got worse from there.
To claim that there was only one year’s interim between the Summer Sun Celebration in S1E02 and the SSC in S4E02 is to claim that the events of Luna Eclipsed, Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, and Hearth’s Warming Eve all happened before the events of Winter Wrap Up.
No. Just no.
It kind of has to have been at least a year because we’ve had two sun raising ceremonies now.
But you are no more right than he is. We don’t have concrete evidence that it has been a year, but we also don’t have concrete evidence that it hasn’t been a year. It’s all up in the air.
Well, no, it is in fact not “stated in the show”. That is 100% a matter of you misinterpreting a single comment from Celestia and apparently thinking that somehow invalidates three and a half seasons’ worth of episode-to-episode continuity.

The time between the premieres of S1 and S4 is one year, as stated in the show.
There have to have been at least two years in between, it’s not possible for the whole series so far to have taken place in one year..
All I could find images of was pictures of Twilight next to an eggplant showing how similar they looked.
Blah. There’s some images somewhere on derpibooru where it was overanalyzing stuff and it shows the size of twilight’s horn and height growing ever so slightly as the episodes go on. I tried looking for it for about 30 minutes and I could not find it. Oh well.
I saw a comparison once from Spike from the first couple episodes of Season 1 compared to Spike from Best Day Ever, and he lost a little bit of weight. Not to mention his voice got a little deeper.
Most likely it’s because his character design changed slightly and his voiced deepened because the artists (and his voice actress) got more experience with it, but I like to think of it as Spike having grown up a little.
Twilight actually grew a few inches when she first became an alicorn. There was a comparison image on this website somewhere that showed Twilight pre-alicorn and post-alicorn in Magical Mystery Cure, and her body was slightly bigger, and her horn slightly longer.
