This comment. Just this comment.
He can be cool when he wants to, but he never wants to be cool.
A little purple and green faget.
And I can say that because he’s a fictional character. He’s an animated cartoon. He doesn’t exist. He never will exist….’cept in a parallel universe, if you believe that kinda shit. I know I do.

Just because someone can take abuse doesn’t mean they should take abuse. I’m not saying Spike is the victim of domestic abuse here, but the attitude that abuse towards him is not a big deal because he’s a dragon is a dangerous one. That’s the mentality abusive fathers use when they hit their sons. “You’re a man, you can take it.” I don’t care if he’s an invincible juggernaut, he has been shown to be a sensitive soul. Abuse is only half physical, the other half is psychological.
So that’s the game you wanna play huh? Alright. “It’s About Time” Twilight was already on edge with the whole ‘Time Travel Prophecy’ thing, Spike was trying to get a reaction out of her by tickling, out of reflex she used her magic to get him out of the way. No actual malice behind it.
“Cutie Pox”; Spike told a bad joke in a poor situation, it was a fucking joke, it’s no different that a tomato being thrown at him. But again it had no actual malice behind it.
Crystal Empire pt.1 She picked him up in joy, then being absent minded dropped him (mind you it was only a few feet a worst) and again no malice.
>that makes me grateful that most Bronies will never never have kids.
I’m just gonna say, that is a very assholish thing to say
>hurr waifu hurr
It doesn’t matter if it’s Twilight or goddamn Derpy. “Oh poor Spike, he’s so abused. Everyone in the world hates him, even his own surrogate mother/sister oh bo ho ho” I’m so tired of hearing that, he’s fine, his relation with Twilight is fine, he lives a pretty damn good life in Ponyville.
Yeah, the kid has self identity issues. Yeah, he’s the butt of a few slapstick moments (god forbid a cartoon character is allowed to act like a cartoon). But he’s hardly abused and scarred. Give me examples, throughout the entirety of the series of any of what you mentioned happening? Give me an example.
Also I doubt you ever spanked has a child.
Twilight fucking throws him against the wall so hard that he bounces in ‘It’s About Time’. In ‘The Cutie Pox’ she goes from praising him one second to bucking him off her back. When all of their friends are standing in the library it is only Spike that she yells at in ‘Crystal Empire, Part 1’, and in the same episode she picks him up and drops him. Do you want me to go on? Spike is the only character in the show to routinely receive direct physical “comedy” at the hands of other characters… and it’s mostly Twilight who does it.
That the fandom refuses to acknowledge that makes me grateful that most Bronies will never never have kids.
What’s the matter, Anon? So blinded by your waifu’s flank that you’re ignoring the way she’s treated him for the entire series?
Yeah, I got spanked, but it was when did things that actually deserved negative reinforcement, not because it was their first reaction.
At what fucking point has Twilight EVER done that? Yes. He’s at the butt of physical comedy but it was never inflicted by any of the characters purposely.
For starters; have we been watching the same show? Since when has Twilight EVER yelled at Spike for petty reasons, and demeaned him in front of their friends. I swear you’re just making shit up now.
Secondly. Being smacked upside the head is (or was) a very common punishment for misbehavior. Don’t tell me, you’ve never been spanked before as a child either?
So that makes it okay for her to hit him? Maybe it doesn’t leave bruises, but what does it do to a kid to know that the pony that is the closest he has to a family’s first instinct is to hit him, toss him, and throw him against walls?
I’ve always been fine with Spike being on the receiving end of physical humor. He’s a fucking dragon. A walking purple juggernaut of fiery destruction. He can take it.
I’m very concerned about the household where you grew up where the first thing that happened when you told the truth (the reason you were brought along in the first place) was to get smacked upside the head.
Twilight has routinely thrown Spike, yelled at him for petty reasons, and demeaned him in front of their friends. “I didn’t think that it would hurt him” is never a valid excuse for hitting a child. Would “Rule of Funny” still apply if this was Rarity hitting Sweetie Belle?
Seriously? A comedy slapon the back of his head? Dude, you must have been spoiled your entire life and nobody even looked at you grimly. Else I can’t see how anybody would see this as abuse.
Spike was an insensetive jerk at the moment while Twi and Dash tried to spare Shy an awkward and humilating experience but he had to tell Shy that she flew slower than a snail. A small slap for not reading the atmosphäre/not noticing how much this gonna hurt Shy (geez she flew away crying after that, FS bronies would normally hang anybody who made her cry by his balls/her ovaries) is nothing and Spike also didn’t acted as if it had hurt him at all.
I see what you did there.
In other news: Behold! The true nature of Spike and Twilight’s relationship.
