Description

Album cover for Destiny: A Tale of Unicorn Wings, a two-disc, two-hour album composed by HeyLasFas. The album follows an alternate path where an under-prepared Twilight takes over control of Equestria from Celestia, and details her struggles as she shoulders the new responsibilities, the pressure of pleasing her mentor, and the difficulty of maintaining her friendships on the side.

I simply created the album cover.

thanks man! I’m sorry about the vocals, but when you’re a one man band it’s pretty hard to be spectacular anything, so I try to orchestrate/compose an encapsulating story or soundscape and just hope that peeps don’t just immediately drop the story because of one thing, being my vocals.

If it’s any consolation, I was pulled in by the scope of emotions going into the latter half, and “Dusk” in particular had vivid lyrics befitting the POV switch and was structured excellently. Thematically, the deconstruction of the idea of meeting one’s destiny is (AFAIK) a fresh alternate-universe angle for Twilicorn, and the story as I’ve gathered it felt true to the characters. I’ll probably pick up the CD set this week.

Listening. I’m not a big fan of the vocals, honestly, but the rest is solid so far. Love the dynamic range in the mastering.
