From how season 5 is going its easy to tell the writers really want Scootaloo to fly. If she does fly I’ll be very happy.

IIRC, Rainbow Factory josses itself by having Scootaloo fly. :P (And if anything jossed it, wouldn’t it be the part in “Sonic Rainboom” that, you know, has actual rainbows in it?)
 
I just think that, it’d be nice if that side of Pinkie were closer to canon once in a while. You know, a delusional shut-in drifting further and further from reality.
 
And if anyone’s gonna go on a killing spree, it’s gonna be Fluttershy. Oh sure, you laugh now, but you know damn well what she’s capable of in the right (or wrong) state of mind. One day, the wild will overtake her brain, and nopony will be safe.
 
(Rarity would also work well as a killer, a cunning and meticulous artiste who uses her victims as both material and medium to fill a private gallery that she so wishes could be public but knows she can never share with anypony but those who will become the next piece. Not sure how she’d get that way, though.)

My headcanon is that Silver Spoon is so loyal to Diamond Tiara because at some point, Diamond Tiara was there for her when nopony else was.
 
And that her parents are emotionally-distant, ruthless corporate raider types who wanted their daughter to follow in their hoofsteps, and make no secret of how disgusted they are that she let herself become a “subordinate” to somepony. Silver Spoon takes this as proof that Diamond Tiara cares more than her parents do, and the worst part is that she may be right.

Might possibly be one of the reasons they lash out. I imagine there’s possibly several reasons why the two are so mean. Would be kinda ironic/sad really… These two rich fillies can have everything they want, except attention from their busy parents. Perhaps the one thing most kids need. :(
