But it is still a confusing concept.
 
They are still a different species from the ponies in equestria, yet they are human in this world like them (which throws out some people’s theory that different species are different in this world too).
 
That does mean that different species in the show are human too, but spike isn’t.
 
It’s just an odd concept to throw out there.

I guess that throws out the whole “other species in equestria aren’t humans in this world” theory.
