True, but you’ll remember that when this pic was first posted some of us commented that it could be interpreted in various ways. Intimidation, seduction, abuse of authority, overprotectiveness… you could argue for any of them.
It’s not exactly meant to be a shipping image.
? What crusade? I MADE an ‘overprotective big brother’ joke on this very image. The very first comment in fact.
And I happen to love overprotective big brother types because I happen to be one too. Well, minus the ‘over’ part.
The whole overprotective big brother thing only exists because some people are just too stupid to ignore one-shot characters they didn’t like for some reason.
Overprotective = jerk, mental issues, paranoia and what not. That’s not healthy at all.
The whole crusade against overprotective brother jokes is getting old, girlie.
Its supposed to be a joke, even when gets extreme.
We aaaaall know Twilight is capable of taking care of herself.
We don’t need no feminazis complaining about overprotective jokes all the time.

He could just revive Sombra and sent him to beat the crap out of Flash Sentry.
See, this is the sort of overprotectiveness I don’t mind. Genuinely glad that his sister’s found someone and simply warning the guy about curfews and stuff. None of that ‘follow them around and spy on them’ business.
Of course, I also like the idea that they’re going to be slightly late because of traffic, and Shining is struggling against his urge to call Twilight and find out what’s going on. “She’s a big girl. She can handle herself. But what if something happened? No, no. Get a grip, Shining! Trust her!”
