Pink Cloud can’t be entirely held back by magic, only someone as powerful as the Princesses could doit, and Luna ended up dying from it, Celestia was near-death from it when she uploaded herself into the Crusader Maneframe in Neighvarro.
But she was exposed to the cloud, which is lethal when absorbed through the skin for a period of time. Or it leads to ghoulification, which would have been much worse. Pink Cloud is based on the lethal clouds in Dead Money, not on anything from MLP.
Actually now that I think about it, neither kills you very quickly, and she was only exposed through her hoof, which means that it likely took her a horrifically long time to die.
Why couldn’t she use her magic to hold something up to the window?
also never liked that part. transmogrification in equistria does not lead to death since iti s magical in nature. if that was true, twilight would have been killed by the cockatrice.
