Derp, forgot to include that those sale prices for beef were local; they’re considerably higher UK-wise. Rollin’ your own is still hella cheaper than buying premade, though, and you can adjust the spicing, tough/tender, and dry/moist ratios to your exact preference with a little experimentation.
Interesting. I shall make a note of this.
Standard price for packaged beef jerky is between $3 and $4 for a 3oz or 3.25oz (85g or 92g) bag, or roughly £20 to £27 per kilo. What’s cheap is making it yourself, since it’s not difficult to find jerky quality beef on sale for around $2 / lb (£2.70 / kilo), and the only equipment you really need is a standard box fan and some appropriately-sized cotton-based HVAC air filters. Marinate beef strips overnight with soy/worcestershire sauce and spices in a zip-top bag, lay them out on the filters, prop a box fan up between two whatevers so it’s lying horizontally and lay the filters on top, then just set the fan on LOW and let it dry the beef for an afternoon.

Horse meat!
On the other hand, I hear in America, Beef Jerky is really cheap. Here in England, it’s like £2 (or $3.26) for a small bag of it. :(
What I’m saying is, CAN SOMEONE MAIL ME A MASSIVE BOX OF CHEAP JERKY PLZ
Dora and Spongebob have more content for better price. I miss those Pokemon Pasta.
I bet marketing departments just have some big computer skimming the internet and looking for things that are frequently associated. “Hmmm, spaghetti sure does come up a lot for this my little pony franchise”.
Pounds are strong against dollars, you know.
$8 - ouch! They’re about 45p in UK shops, and I’d say even that’s not worth it. It’s your basic overly-salty flavourless cheap pasta in watery sauce, and when you can get a big pack of delicious stuffed fresh pasta for £1.50 in the same shop, and a pot of thick, chunky sauce for £1, and that’s good for two or three meals, well, there’s no comparison.
You just won’t know what went wrong!™
For a can that small?
$8 a can? Holy crap.
Thought I’ve always found it funny that, of all the things to put Pony on, it had to be Spaghetti.
