Don’t react to his/her words and show that not only can you take a hit, but you can dish whatever the bully throws at you back. I don’t think it’s violence if you’re defending yourself and the people you hold dear and you should never let the power you obtain go to your head and become worse than the old bully. Standing up for others who can’t stand for themselves can also help you make friends on the way.
In my experience, letting my superiors fight my fights never made anything better, but fighting my own battles did wonders.

Michael did nothing to antagonize others who didn’t like the show. His only crime if you want to call it that was wearing his love for the show on his sleeve. From what we have been told from his stepfather is that he was a passionate fan of the show,wore shirts and other things pony related often. And was often called gay because he liked MLP. For the most part Michael did his best of ignoring those who ridiculed him and tried to return kindness in return.
But unfortunately something in him must have snapped in order to drive him to this situation.
For a family when someone you are related to and love is in this kind of situation with,it’s one of the worst feelings ever. And I really hope that the Morones Family gets through this.
