“Oh no, Rainbow Dash left Rarity, AJ and Pinkie Pie all alone with an annoying common friend, she totally betrayed her won element.” pffft yeah right.
…except she went the opposite direction…
It doesn’t change the fact that the plot would have gone the same place without her bailing on Rarity, AJ, Pinkie Pie and to a lesser extent, Twilight and Cadence. Wouldn’t it have made more sense for her to say ‘I don’t like you and I don’t trust you, so I’m gonna stay right here to make sure you don’t pull any funny business?’
Have you thought, alternatively, that she was disloyal to serve the plot of this episode?
They all suspected he was faking, but all of them aside from Dash were willing to bite the bullet and take that chance that he was telling the truth for the sake of Twilight. Loyalty is sticking by your friends even when you think things can get bad, and being there if they do turn sour. Not saying ‘this is a hoax, I’m out’ and taking off as fast as you can go and never looking back.
And that’s why RD should be Honesty and AJ should Loyalty.
HonestyLoyalty!Really? Not wanting to be part of what she has clearly outed as a faking discord and his schemes is the same as abandoning her friends?
I was actually going to continue this argument providing examples of RD’s loyalty, but I’d probably be wasting my time trying to change someone’s mind who has already made it up, so I won’t.
So don’t try and drag your friends out of there at all, don’t stay and take one for the team, just take off and save your own ass with a big ‘nope!’ Again, loyal to a fault. Clearly.
