I think it’s very possible that the MLP:FiM staff, if given a chance, could make Flash Sentry into an enjoyable character. It’s even possible, though unlikely, they could have a positive-but-realistic depiction of a romantic relationship featuring one of the Mane 6. But what I don’t want is some cutesy-poo, hugs-n-giggles depiction of love, the sort of depiction that was so expertly mocked in “Hearts and Hooves Day”. If that’s what ends up developing between Flash and Twilight, then yes, that will be enough to make me stop watching the show; I get way too much of that trivialization of relationships from other pop culture as it is.

Oh, gotcha. I guess the plot was pretty solid but it didn’t really hold my interest outside of the Discord sequence. That and I’m spending too much time here reading people’s reactions.

You know, I don’t like that Flash was there since we were told he wasn’t going to be. However people bitching about him smiling at Twilight I don’t understand. It looked like Cadence nodded for the guards to leave and that Flesh Brickchest smiled back like a “gotcha boss” gesture. At least that’s how I took it. Twi seemed far more interested in Cadence than anything.

If the plot has nothing for us to talk about, than obviously it was solid enough not to bother with, or so insubstantial it’s not worth talking about.
 
And given my thoughts on the episode, I like to believe it was the former.
 
yeah, there is this one stupid, little thing that nobody doesn’t want to talk about, but, don’t blame the very good episode for it.
