Actually, I’m not so sure. Cadance is a fairly trusting individual, and the changeling modus operandi actually capitalizes on that specifically.
Not saying that Chrysalis is a super-saiyan x4 or whatever, or that Cadance is weak. More that Chrysalis was lucky, and found a way into Canterlot much more easily than she likely expected.
One would expect such capabilities from a demi-god
Except they aren’t alter-egos, just her putting on her game face, which happens to look exactly like her normal one.
…You know Sheik? Zelda’s alter ego? I’m starting to think Cadance is similar to her in a weird way. It’s because I think she knows more about combat than just magic and flying.
Judging by her appearance, and the fact that the worm-thing barely mussed up her mane, I’d say abso-fucking-lutely.
Makes ya wonder if Chrysalis’s changelings had a hard time capturing her.

She fought a worm-like monster that can jump out of the ground like a Manta Ray, and won.
I don’t think she gets kidnapped often.
She was an adventurer.
But then she got married.
And Armor thought it was “too dangerous”.
Either that, or she gets kidnapped alot.
