There was that…I was also wondering why Celestia didn’t at least send a guard or two to protect Twilight….Now that I think about it, that would have been the perfect spot to put Flash. He would have been the guard protecting her.

Yeah, I know he was joking, it’s just that’s how it tends to come off sometimes. Hell, when Twilight when to the human world, he couldn’t even be bothered to show up to see her off.

I do think it wouldn’t hurt him to have at least one male role model in his life.  
There really needs to be an episode focused on Shining, Spike, Big Mac (and maybe another guy) having a guy’s day out from which Spike gets any sort of lesson.
 
The only thing that could make it better was if Discord spent the whole episode trolling their day…only to reveal in the end how he only did it because they didn’t invite him.

It is very odd how he appears less and less. Heck, in the Equestria girl’s movie, he didn’t show up, nor did anyone even mention his existence.
 
For someone twilight calls her “bbbff” it does seem like she prefers Cadance.

Sounds incredibly conceited of me, but the picture reminded me of a story I did once, cause it did have a scene like this.

Yeah, same here.

Words can not express the wave of sadness that came over me when I realized that this wasn’t a screenshot for the upcoming episode where Twilight tries to spend time with Cadance. I really, really, really want to see Spike and Shining interact… I just want Spike to have some male figure he looks up to and admires.

Something like this needs to happen.

Er…I think you guys are taking this the wrong way.  
Shining was joking when he said that and it doesn’t appear that Twilight wants to hang out with Cadance more then Shining. {But it’s probably like her relationship with Celestia. Twilight looks up to Cadance, but Cadance is pretty much one of her earliest friends.} In the show, Twilight’s hung around the two for about the same length of time.
 
But eh, I prefer Cadance over Shining, so it’s good she’s getting more screentime.

While Cadance and Twilight deal with the sick Discord, Spike and Shining have guys day out along with Big Mac, Mr. Cake, and Blueblood.
 
Equestria, as a whole, was never the same again after their epic day.

In fact, the more I think about that statement by Shining at the Wedding about how Cadance agreed to marry him cause she we get a new sister, the creepier it gets.

It really is getting weird how Twilight seems to prefer hanging out with Cadence to Shining…. Imagine if he got more screen-time you’d see him hang out with Spike some.
