Honestly Petey’s stuff has mostly been downvoted because on the surface it can look like Troll art. smooth animation that’s being used to make the characters intentionally ugly.
And as for getting “downvoted by haters” Petey probably has an average score of around 15 to 20, that’s pretty damn good for an artist.

If you would bother to look you would see that here the problem people have with this was the spamming, not a dislike for his work.
So next time you understand what someone is saying before you people you mouth and put your foot in it.

Try and actually sit down and watch one of petey’s streams dude. He does stuff like this so that people understand that his art is downvoted by haters and trolls for no reason. So he just trolls them back for the same reason. Understand that before opening your moth again.

Spamming implies im uploading the same image over and over again. This was in fact not spamming because each image was it’s own unique drawing.
I just prepacked and shot all 118 of the drawings like one giant wad at derpibooru.
Apparently you people can’t see the genius of this tactic!

I suggested several different strategies that one could do, which included that one you dismissed as not visible enough. Each strategy I outlined has it’s own flaws and strengths and I expressed many of these in the same post.
Now, let’s look at one other strategy:
Spam Derpibooru with images.
First of all, spamming is strictly against the rules. This would most likely lead to a ban, as has happened. A continuation of said behaviour would lead to a permaban. Now, yes, you can circumvent this first through anonymous accounts and then through other means, but that tends to take more time and is a pain in the ass for everyone involved.
You also have to consider that DB has a filtering system that allows users to hide certain images. Images they find annoying, such as if it’s spammed, will be more likely to be hidden. You could just avoid tagging them with your name, but DB has a fairly dedicated community of people who apparently have no lives outside of here (yours truly included) who will tag it almost instantly as a piece of your artwork.
The users who don’t spoiler or hide your work will start to smack down your artwork and downvote on sight, not because the artwork is bad, but because of how it has been presented to them: force feeding with the expressed intent of attention.
I like your art a lot. I can tell it took a lot of time to make those animations; I’ve done artwork and I know how long it takes to just get one image done. There’s a chaotic energy in the animations.
I just hope you don’t mess up and get in the way of others seeing it.

You know You can say a lot about this site but I have not seen another image hosting site that does the best it can to service both the artist and the users that visit it.

Just one person has to do it to prove you wrong, I do if I think it looks good and your art isn’t bad so if you where to do that I would look, so you are wrong about no one investigating and clicking the source link.
You logic is flawed in that you think only in absolutes, you seem to think it’s everyone does something or no one dose, that is a very flawed logic and why the spamming you did was annoying to so many.
I sometimes check the source link, if it’s a piece of art I particularly like, so I can fave it both here and on deviantART or wherever else it is. But I suppose you do have a point.
