Honest, no holds barred reasons:
 
Canon x OC shipping is generally disliked “on principle”. As well the art, while not outright bad is not great and anatomically incorrect. There’s also that the OC appears to be more “special” than normal, both by having odd hair colors, a crown related cutie mark and an amulet of some sort.
 
I’d suggest you work more on posing characters as they appear on the show until you’re comfortable with recreating them with proper proportions without too many references, then move on to more “themed” images that show characters interacting.
