I hand-lettered the entire epic tale in artists quality sepia ink and hand-painted all the images on Rising Stonehenge paper. My paints are artists quality acrylics, including reflective illuminating paints, Minnesota Pipestone, actual Lapis Lazuli, and other quality pigments.
I hand-sewed and hand-bound the book using traditional bookbinding techniques and covered it with Cave Paper (which is hand-made in Minneapolis, MN).
This book was a complete blast to make, though many days turned to nights as I painted 14 or more hours straight on through!
The volume is now on the road with The Traveling Pony Museum, making its first stop at BronyCon Summer 2012!”

The wording is exactly the same as in the opening to episode 1. They never even used the term “alicorn” in the show until season 3.
