Bigger contrast: vampires in Ultimate Hellsing compared to Alucard. Seras was considered the lowest of the low of vampires until she drink Pip’s blood.
Never was a fan of Buffy, but to offer a contrast, Dracula of the Castlevania series is about as dangerous as they come. Vampires are also pretty bad news in Underworld, Interview With A Vampire, Van Helsing, etc.
Went out like punk in the Buffyverse. Some vamps couldn’t hold out to some of the demons in that Slayer universe.
Nonsense. Dracula is one of the toughest villains of fiction.
Yup, two different wavelengths and opinions here, so it’s best to call it an evening rather than waste each other’s time any and bid you a good night.
>By that logic, there would no Molestia, pinkie Pie Cupcakes, no hotdiggitydemon, etc
You say that like it would be a bad thing.
By that logic, there would no Molestia, pinkie Pie Cupcakes, no hotdiggitydemon, etc, if limited to what canon on television. I have presented the possibility to build from a scene and embellish to match the levels of those in One Piece. Sorry that was not clear.
Think I am done with this.
Do whatever you want, but I suggest trying not to confuse fanfiction and theory with observable facts.
Wow, that statement alone sounds like you are a lot of fun in creative writing and fan fiction. You keep doing your way, I’ll go do mine and call it a day? That cool?
I haven’t said anything pertaining to any “headcanon” of my own. All I’ve related is what is obvious in the show. Spike is harmless, and everyone sees him that way. Simple as that.
It’s not “too bad” that I don’t try to finagle someone else’s idea of what should be the case into my thinking.
You’re free to either “buy it” or not, if you have your own headcanon on the subject that’s cool too. If you don’t wish to entertain that possibility, that is your own business. That is the freedom of doing fan fiction and play with the possibilities. I now see this discussion will not open compromise so, I have nothing further to add. When People (artists and writers, especially) have idea in their head, they are going to push it through regardless what others may say, especially when they have support from friends and peers. Too bad you remain steadyfast and couldn’t entertain the possibility, but I am sure you have others that will support your headcanon as well.
I am off drawing my own stuff in my own way. Take care.
>he is well known and sociable
That has nothing to do with the fact that no one is the least bit intimidated by him, because this has always been the case from the first moment anyone lays eyes on him. Whether they know him or not, no one respects him very much even as a person, let alone as someone dangerous. Sorry, but I’m not buying it. People don’t see him for what he might eventually grow up to be, they see him only for what he is now.
You’re specifying Spike in particular in case of him being integrated in ponyville and Cantorlot, he is well known and socialable. When outside that setting, like the buffalo who respected dragons in general or the dragons in general it is treated as common knownledge that pony citizens keep their distance from dragons unless the need calls for it. Spike might not be deemed a threat in the form now but his has potential to be one when he grows up, although it is not the case since he is friends with the ponies and still a baby dragon. Key thing is: potentially powerful dragon.
That’s how I see it, it might work well for some but that my headcanon. Thank you and good day.
I really don’t see how. Fluttershy, who is generally terrified of adult dragons, could instantly and intuitively see that Spike was not in the least bit dangerous. No one has ever been intimidated by him, not even a little bit.
Open for interpretation: spike is respected as a dragon, dragons in the show has been shown as powerful creatures; respected and sometimes feared. Even a baby dragon has some weight due to his potential. It’s not set in stone, but some might see it that way.
I don’t remember them respecting him for any kind of physical threat he currently embodies, which is basically none at all.
Spike is well respected as a dragon in buffalo communities, that is some level of respect and danger when he eventually grows up.
Who has ever seen Spike as dangerous? Except for Spikezilla, that is, but no one really even knew that was him.
Lowest bounty, viewed the least dangerous, under a cute and timid demeanor, lies a wild card.
If my past works failed to get that point across, then there is nothing I could say to convince you any further otherwise and just leave it at that.
