and then she twilight and rarity follow him to ensure he’s alright. Honestly in the recent episode they were obviously overcome with the city and as it looked spike wasn’t complaining.

To me, this scene is one of the greatest lies in the show. After it, they go right back to treating Spike exactly as they always have. Despite having the kid name them as his “family” Twilight vacillates between showing him tenderness and being abusive, Rarity continues to exploit his crush, and Dash… damn, when does she even talk to Spike in the series? The only time I can think of is in this episode where she makes fun of him.
