In stark contrast to their aggressive territorial behaviour, the Necropolis Hive’s method of gathering love seems almost harmless. They don’t trap ponies, they don’t take husks for their hive and they hardly use hypnosis on their victims. Nevertheless their methods are actually very harmful to ponies. Beside draining victims of their love (and thus life energy), ponies in question usually become obsessed with the past; they spend more time around their perceived dead loved ones than living ones.
