And reason why I prefer this design to Trotsworth’s is because it is much simpler. To me Trot’s designs are much more detailed and the hair is so busy unlike the mane six in the show. And so while yes everyone prefers Bubble Berry over Razzie Pie, I’m totally cool with that.
And not to mention that Trotsworth’s designs are generally accepted by most other people on the internet. Look up genderbends/sexbends and more than likely any/all art you find will be based more so around Trotsworth’s than anything done by someone else. So there’s no need to argue about it when two or three people don’t call Twilight’s male self ’Dusk Shine’ or Fluttershy ’Butterscotch’.
You underestimate my capacity for hate.
Oh, And on that note.
Neither of these images have anything to do with Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare, or whatever ridiculous group you think has anything to do with naming everything, You stupid, Stupid STUPID moron.
Don’t bring them up on a goddamned image of a rule 63’d alternate personality of a pony character from a kids show.
It makes you look absolutely silly, Seriously.
You know what? No. I’m going to explain to you what I was talking about with the Beiber thing.
I was explaining, TO YOU, that that was how you sounded. That you’d rage on something, just because of a name, and that’s all.
This had nothing to do with Beiber, Romeo and Juliet, or shakesphere.
You call me an uncultured twat, but you’re fucking wrong, ON TOP OF BEING IGNORANT AND STUPID.
Oh shut up. You’re an idiot trying to act smart and it isn’t working. It’s just making you look and sound like an ignorant bore.
The place where the fanon Rule 63 names came from (or were at least popularised), at least I think that’s where they come from.
Hell, even if I am wrong, my point still stands.
It’s not as if all the Rule 63s are even technically the same characters anyway.
In the near infinite parallel universes where those who would’ve been born female in the main universe were instead born male (and/or vice versa), who knows what other differences would’ve happened.
Or in plain English, it’s all up the imagination of the creator of said Rule 63 characters (through their interpretation of the FIM universe).
And even if we are dealing with the canon characters, even their names are worthless.
I mean it’s well known that G4/FIM Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Rarity are based more on G1 Posey, Surprise, Firefly and Sparkler (or least Lauren Faust’s interpretations of them) than their [the G4 ponies’] G3 equivalents.
TL;DR version:
Names mean nothing, it’s the characters themselves that count.
And “a rose by any other name would smell as sweet”.
Which was written by William Shakespeare, you uncultured twat. It has nothing to do with Justin fucking Bieber.
What
Are you even
talking about.
Oh well.
By the way, you do realise that “On a Cross and Arrow” didn’t invent Rule 63 fiction?
Or that some people may not have even read it (or even heard of it) before creating their Rule 63 ponies?
Or they just personally don’t like the names (after all, they aren’t canon)?
I’m not saying we should change the tags here, but just let people have their fun.
Sheesh.
(NOTE: This is not (repeat not) a dig at “On a Cross and Arrow” itself, just the more rabid members of its fanbase.)
Both.
Or for petty fanon name differences.
