If black skin bothers you this much, I think we have a far deeper problem than diverse lesbian ponies.
Conceptually, yeah. I would urge you consider how one position in a society (i.e. majority/minority) affects the ability to overcome language as an instrument power.
Link
Except a number of real life black women would fail the Niggatron test :/
Words is not power. Words can only have as much power as you give them. Buzzwords and phrases aren’t powerful in and of themselves. Its the niggas listenin who give them power.
If I go up to yo average nigga and say “fuck you faggot,” he will prolly get upset. This is because he has given those words the power to hurt him. You go up to Niggertron and say the same, it will have no effect. this is cuz Niggertron recognizes that these words are powerless on their own, and refuses to let himself be offended by them.
Sticks and stones negro. We learned this shit when we were kids. Why hasn’t you learned yet?
Oh I don’t deny that I’m racist. Everyone is, whether they know it or not. It’s not all necessarily a bad thing either. It can be bad no doubt, but it aint all lynchings and oppression. Saying “you is racist” as an insult is as meaningless as saying “you is human.”
But I digress. So you assert that the differences between races are superficial. Dodging the debate as to the legitimacy of this claim, I agree that there are superficial differences between races. Take this nigga for example:
There’s a reason ya’ll can tell this is a black albino rather than a white nigga. Differences in the nose, eyes, maxillofacial structure and hair are noticeable. Shit’s hardly what I would call “unscientific.”
Let us now turn to this piece. The eyes, nose, mouth, hair, and jaw do not appear to portray as black a nigga as the skin do. You claim this is due to Fluttershy bein one of them mulatto bitches, yet none of these features correspond to a mixed race nigga either.
Simply put, it looks off. Just as off as the albino nigga.
Yes, but said words only have power because we treat them that way.
(Example of how ‘god’ used casually was seen as a major thing and very serious, where as now we use it for minor things. By not taking it as seriously, you remove the influence of the insult/curse (albeit over long periods of time))
’Words only hurt because you give them power by fearing them, laugh at them and don’t take them seriously and they lose power’.
That’s not how language works. Words are power. That is why political campaigns use the same buzzwords and phrases or spend millions of dollars on people like Frank Luntz to script their words. Niggertron made his purpose clear in his comments here:(@Lord Niggertron)
?
The point (when it started at least) of Niggertron was that ‘Words only hurt because you give them power by fearing them, laugh at them and don’t take them seriously and they lose power’.
Something like that.
Nigga please. Niggertron isn’t afraid of being called a racist, so he can say what others cannot. He can call out shitty art and ignore the shield of racegoating.
Oh you brave minstrel puppet! Standing up for the right you have always have and always will, being a racist. It’s funny (yes, I really laughed) that you can’t separate judging the quality of an art piece, with you know, promoting institutional oppression based on arbitrary and unscientific bullshit.
As though saying, “the artist did a poor job depicting brown skin” is the same as “[T]his a nigga humanization. The problem is it’s a bad lookin nigga[,]” because you lighten her skin and she looked white. This is really common in mixed-raced families and is often expressed several generations down the line. Biology simply doesn’t work like: “When two niggas have a baby, it will always be a nigga too”
Race, as a concept, generally, is the misappropriation of scientific terminology used to delineate different species of animals, incorrectly attributed to superficial physical expressions of certain genes in one species and then used a basis for an incalculable number of social and cultural misdiagnosis and policy decisions.
That does not mean that biological definitions don’t exist; understating these differences within populations has many scientific benefits (i.e. medicine).
Blah blah, more shit, read a fucking book.
You are just an avatar for people who are mad because they have to share the table. Mighty god-king, indeed.
Nigga please. Niggertron isn’t afraid of being called a racist, so he can say what others cannot. He can call out shitty art and ignore the shield of racegoating. When people reply “you racist” as though it invalidates an opinion, the Mighty Niggertron replies “no shit.”
“Trolling” is so very far below Your god-King Niggertron.
Profound? Isn’t the point of your Alicorn Jim Crow shtick not to be taken seriously?
Ad hominem? Nice work dawg.
Nigga you have demonstarated a profound lack of understanding of race, trolling, and your Lord and Master Lord Niggertron.
You are a inch deep parody troll. Stay in your lane.
@Heroine Addict
Now hold up just a minute. Is you seriously trying to say that race is merely a social construct? When two niggas have a baby, it will always be a nigga too. Society doesn’t decide yo race. Yo genes do.
And don’t be tellin me about black albinos or freak mutations or some shit. Outliers and exceptions don’t invalidate the rule.
Sorry, but it wasn’t me who started that debate. It wasn’t me that made big deal over a tag I added properly describing a picture. (or I was, but it was just the same big deal too since you started arguing with me over it) I agreed though that “forced” or “unnecessary” was kind of uncalled, so I don’t want such tag anymore. Although what I ment, since as you claim race should be treated no different than hair color, then, why don’t leave alone “dark skinned” tag just like it was “pink hair” tag (that actually exist).
But now I understand you just kinda want to prevent wars in the comments and tags. Clearly you succeded and this war in the comments and tags here is a shining proof. /sarcasm
I won’t even comment how stupid reason against a tag it is “because images with it have negative votes”. If anything, it’s another reason to have a tag if they display such a pattern. It’s also a poor reason against a tag, jut because some people missuse it. Wasn’t the obvious solution to this just adding one tag between “dark skin” and “light skin” anyway? It’s not even like you fixed any mess. I am your mess now.
So, if you’re really done, I’m putting the tags back then. Night.
I’m sorry, I’m having trouble understanding you. Getting a lot of hypocrisy on this line.
I’m not the one who started this whole big debate. I’m not the one who made a big deal over a picture where someone is humanized into a non-white person. Your first little point is more applicable to you than to me. This and the comparisons you keep bringing up are part of the same thing: Your attempts to dodge and deflect the real issue.
No, the comparison is still not valid because… Well, just click the “lesbian” tag on this image and you’ll see. It’s very clearly defined as “female/female shipping”, so it can’t be abused, and almost all the images with it have a highly positive score. In fact, this image alone is a testament to that: The big deal being made here is about “race”, not about the lesbian shipping.
(Wow, I’m using a lot of colons.)
And no, this tag isn’t just a minor thing. I advise you to check the previously linked thread to see the kind of tag abuse that resulted last time we had this kind of thing. I’m not going to let that mess happen just so you don’t have to put up with the oh-so-agonizing experience of having to look at someone with the “wrong” skintone.
Now, I’m done. If you want to persist in this one-person crusade for the ability to use racist filtering, then maybe the moderators would be interested in talking to you about it. Good day.
@poiuj1
Yeah, I prefer my racists to be honest and open rather than being cowardly liars.
If a color of a skin is as much of small deal as hair color to you, than why do you care about a tag with it? It’s not like tags like “blue eyes” or “pink hair” doesn’t exist here. Yes the comparisons I’m NOT gonna stop using, because if they show anything it would be your double standards. There’s nothing subjective about the color of a skin, and it can be defined just as clearly. You think people do not give shit to people who draw lesbian or straight ships? Either way some tags on derpibooru (which is all I want and nothing more) have nothing to do with it. Either way it’s NOT my resposibility, that because of a “huge breasts” tag I don’t want to see, some women with big breasts might get discriminated.
Laconic Version: It is not my duty or resposiblility to accomodate to your double standard interpretation of social justice. You’ve gotta deal with it.
(And seriously, you don’t have to go any lengths. For starters I can tag it myself.)
You’ve hit the nail right on the head. I’ve heard that in terms of genetics, the differences between different “races” are smaller than the differences among a single “race”. It should be treated no different from one’s hair colour, and yet people can’t yet move on.
@ForegroundPony
What the above person said. We’re not going to great lengths to accommodate your lack of tolerance for people who merely look different. The problem isn’t with us or the dark-skinned people; it’s with your attitudes. It should be your responsibility to correct them.
As for the “gay”, “straight” and “lesbian” tags, they are all clearly defined and properly placed, not subjective and used as a personal filtration method. If you please, could you stop attempting to derail this with your irrelevant comparisons? It’s just showing your desperation.
Laconic version: You’re the one who has to make changes to accommodate people, not us. You’ve gotta deal with it.
Biologically, race isn’t a thing; its a social construct used as an excuse to justify treating other people like shit. You know, like suggesting that black people can look a certain way, and as a result, go out of their way to discourage artist from submitting non white humanizations of pastel colored ponies.
I miss the “why is she nigger?” trolls. I prefer their sincerity to the bullshit of: “If you would only jump through these flaming hoops, then I would treat this image like every other decently drawn non-white humanization and either upvote or move on.”
Really like thier
hairmanes.“You know if this tag is bothering you that much, then you seriously need some counseling.”
You know if this pic is bothering you that much, then you seriously need some counseling.
This again? Really?
“This tag won’t stop being needed (not just by me) based on your opinion, now quit bitching and just ignore this tag. God you’re so thin skinned.”
It isn’t going to have a tag based on your opinion, now quit bitching and just ignore the pic. God you’re so thin skinned.
This, the race thing isn’t an issue (I loved those two black Carrot and Cup Cake cosplayers), it’s how the black people don’t even look like black people. They do have different facial structures.
