It is truly regretful what we must do to the natives, but either they be allowed to live or civilization be allowed to spread, and you and I both know where the calculus comes down. And quite frankly, their disappearance from the pony family would be no great loss to the world.

The roads literally dead end at the city line and into a river. It’s like the city was just copy and pasted onto the land.
