Sorry, but this series doesn’t work that way. They don’t typically talk about or make reference to past episodes unless the current story calls for it. There has been no need to talk about the events of Equestria Girls in S4 so far. Besides, McCarthy already confirmed that EqG is canon to the show’s story, and even if she hadn’t, there would still be no reason think otherwise.
Sorry, but Equestria Girls is NOT canon! If it was, there would of been some reference to it during and after the season premier. But since there’s no reference, it’s safe to say it’s not canon.
